This is just a recommendation but I suggest that anyone planning to see the American movie, "The Grudge," go rent "Ju-On" the original Japenese version. Extremely creepy, a bit confusing but well worth the time.
OH - and if anyone does happen to catch "The Grudge" let me know how good/bad it is. I would hate it if they ruined such a good storyline.

"Ringu" is what got me into looking for other Japenese horror movies and thankfully led me to "Ju-On" -- for some reason the Japanese movies creep me out more then their American remakes. Even through the subtitles I was spooked...and that is hard to do with me (scare me that is) but they succeeded.

Thu, October 21, 2004 - 2:56 AMThe Eye is very good. I bought it from HKflix a few years ago. I had heard that Tom Cruise was interested in making an American version (it worked with Vanilla Sky, why not try again?).
One thing I have noticed from watching the trailer to The Grudge is that it looks very similar to Ju On, it appears that some scenes have just been re shot using the same scnes, and location, just American actors.
